About the Designer

Debbie Rae is a self-taught jewelry designer.  Her love for making jewelry came from an encounter at the Devon Horse Show in Devon, PA.  She complimented the person next to her on her jewelry and the next thing you know, Debbie Rae was trying on necklaces made by the person wearing them.  At that moment, Debbie Rae was inspired to start, what she thought, would be a new hobby.

After making a few pieces to accessorize outfits, Debbie Rae’s co-workers and friends started noticing.  From once admiring others’ jewelry to being complimented on her own jewelry, her hobby soon after, turned into a business of her own..  More people started asking about purchasing necklaces, bracelets and earrings from Debbie Rae, which inspired Debbie Rae Designs.  Her collection is Boho chic, meant for layering and designed to be inspired by each individual style.  Everything made is something she would wear herself.  To the office, out on the town or to a formal event, most of her items are custom made with semi-precious gemstones, high quality beads, such as smoky quartz, pearls, turquoise, as well as solid sterling silver and gold vermeil charms.  She has also designed bridal jewelry for some of her friends as brides, bridesmaids, flower girls and mother of the brides.

From her love of making and designing jewelry to giving back, Debbie Rae started making HOPE bracelets.  These HOPE bracelets were made for her Relay for Life Team, Random Acts of Kindness, and all of the money raised was donated to the team.  During the Relay for Life events, Debbie Rae would have her HOPE bracelets displayed and would make custom bracelets for family members and survivors as they walked.  Today, she still raises money and makes HOPE bracelets in the hopes to eradicate cancer.

Debbie Rae believes that accessories can take an outfit from ordinary to extraordinary!  Accessories should be effortless and easy to wear while making a statement.  “What distinguishes us from the animals, is our ability to accessorize”, Olivia Dukakis, Steel Magnolias.
